Went to see Civil War at the Everyman in Edinburgh on Wednesday evening. It’s gripping in many senses. The story itself is not so much about the war but more the circumstances that war correspondents and photographers have to go through when reporting on a conflict. You admire them for what they do and reflect on why they chose such a dangerous occupation. Morag found the backdrop of the war quite difficult given everything that is going on today in the Middle East and Ukraine. Some of the scenes are hard hitting; you initially think that it could never happen that way but then recent events might suggest otherwise. Definitely worth a watch. Your body feels like it has been through an experience when you leave the cinema.
