A quiet lunch at the Angel & Greyhound. One pint of beer each, with Chris on the diet coke! Then a short walk to Iffley Road.
The game itself followed the usual pattern of Oxford being spirited, coupled with lots of endeavour and England showing strength, skill and speed whenever the opportunity arose.
An easy win by England in the end.
We played our usual imagination game of wondering which of these England players would likely appear as a senior international in years to come.
Straight back to Abingdon afterwards on the X3 bus followed by generous nibbles and refreshment at the Murphy residence.
